An initiative of Cancer Council – Daffodil Day is a fundraiser that raises money for research into cancer as well as a day to celebrate the spirit of cancer survivors and their families, carers and medical specialists.

This year two new team leaders Carol Towell and Raelene Bult will join Nancy Cooper, Rosemary Butler, and Ros Ward in organising and preparing for Daffodil Day.

Boxes of merchandise can be found at the many businesses around town, Long Flat store as well as Wauchope High School with a variety of things for sale.

Fresh daffodils will also be available for sale on daffodil day.

Daffodil Day is the largest fundraising event of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere and the day of the year when all Australians are urged to unite and lend their support to the fight against cancer.

Becoming part of Daffodil Day is easy, and there are three ways in which you can help the Cancer Council achieve its fundraising target of $9 million.

You can order and sell merchandise to your friends, family, community or in the workplace, volunteer to sell merchandise at one of our stalls on Daffodil Day or buy fresh daffodils or Daffodil Day merchandise throughout August.

The money raised will help the Cancer Council to fund essential services, education and research programs, making a difference to lives of people with cancer today, and helping to protect lives tomorrow.
