Thousands flock to 4x4 Expo

OVER 9500 people descended on the Wauchope Showground over the weekend for the seventh annual Mid North Coast Caravan, Camping, 4WD and Boat Show.

Exhibitors, punters and organisers alike left the showground with a smile on their face after another successful year of the show.

Mid North Coast Caravan, Camping, 4WD and Boat Show co-ordinator Loretta Payne said the perfect weather added to a great weekend.

“It was the biggest and best show we’ve presented,” she said.

"The demos were all very popular and we have had great feedback from exhibitors and the general public.

“We had millions of dollars worth of the latest boating, caravan and camping equipment,” she said.

The choice and range of products on display was the biggest put together for the three day event.

With everything from motorhomes to fishing on display, it lived up to its reputation of promoting the latest and greatest in the leisure industry.

The show – which had more than 500 companies exhibiting products – was a boost for Hastings businesses.

Ms Payne said the crowd was indicative of the popularity of camping and leisure activities.

“People simply love the lifestyle – wealthy people still choose to get around in a caravan,” the co-ordinator said.

"The public think it’s great to have the show in the area and we’re thankful for their support.

"It's the biggest show of its kind in the area and we can’t wait to get back for next year.

The show will be back next year at the same time and same place – the Wauchope Showground.
