Heritage manages to hold on

WAUCHOPE men played against Port City Heritage in their Hastings Hockey Association competition on Saturday afternoon in a hard fought match.

Heritage went out to a 2 goal lead before some great lead up work by Heath Thompson set Jeff Griffiths up to score for Wauchope.

Heritage managed to score again to give them a 3-1 lead which they managed to hold for the remainder of the game.

Wauchope fought hard in the second half and were unlucky not to convert several chances.

Aaron Houston showed great improvement on the wing while Heath Thompson and Don Hugo played well through the middle of the field.

No local Women’s associating game was played last weekend due to the Veteran’s carnival.
