The final was contested by Joyce Townsend and Judy Coombes. Intense concentration was the prerequisite for both bowlers, in order to gain maximum points for each end played.

Both players were responsible for some wonderful bowls during the mornings play, but first to reach the designated score was Judy Coombes. Congratulations!

Social games of triples were also played with all players enjoying the challenges presented by the previous bowlers’ bowls placement but not always achieving the planned result.

It was wonderful to welcome a new bowler to our midst, Sandra Hackney. We are sure she will enjoy “Becoming one of the mob” perhaps even another distinguished member.

Winners for the day were the triples team of Joyce Boyd, Carol Higgins and Sally Graham. Raffle winners Pat Coombes, Alma Smith and Marion Longobardi.

Our Club is extremely proud to announce that member Nai Lewis has been selected in a Hastings team to play at Armidale in an A &B competition on September 1, 2 and 3.
